How do I contact ITS when I have a problem or questions?
From ITS Wiki
Check out the list below for ways to get in touch with ITS when you have a technology need or question (Note: #1 is the fastest way to get help for most issues).
1. ITS asks that the first method you use for non-emergency issues is to enter a helpdesk call directly. You can access the online Help Desk at http://helpdesk.centre.edu. Your online call will automatically be entered in our Help Desk database which is checked regularly by ITS staff.
2. Another method you can use is to email the Help Desk helpdesk@centre.edu. Emailed requests will be copied and pasted into the online Help Desk (mentioned in item 1), generally by the close of the following business day. Please note that emailing the Help Desk will require a person to be present, check email, copy and paste the email. Entering your own Helpdesk call (#1) doesn’t require any ITS staff member to open, copy and paste the information…much faster!
3. Users can also report problems to the ITS department by telephone – ext. 5575. Placing such a call does not guarantee that a technician is available to resolve a problem immediately. This process only provides an alternative method for entering a call into the Help Desk database. Most times (for non-emergencies) the information you provide will be entered into the Helpdesk or you may be asked to enter an online Help Desk call.
4. For some issues, you may be asked to bring your computer and power supply to ITS.
5. For Centre-owned equipment at your home, you will be asked to bring your equipment to ITS.
6. When you have emergencies, feel free to try a combination of the contact methods.
The Helpdesk is monitored daily by ITS and CTL. We will continually do our best to serve our faculty, staff and students.
