Installing B.A.S.I.S

B.A.S.I.S Client Instructions

1. Run Setup.exe at \\jupiter\programs\B.A.S.I.S\5.12.012\.
2. Agree to the EULA and choose Client.
3. Click Next, leaving all options at their default values (Complete, SQL Server).
4. Choose My Network Places->Entire Network->Microsoft Windows Network->Centre->Best as the licensing host.
5. Choose My Network Places->Entire Network->Microsoft Windows Network->Centre->Best as the database computer.
6. Click Next, leaving all options at their default values (Folder[Program Files\B.A.S.I.S], License Server[Best,Port:8189], Database[Best]).
7. Click Install.
8. Wait patiently as the multitude of Windows Installer windows opens, closes, opens, closes, opens, and closes again and again.
9. Agree to the Lenel Windows Service Pack Utility disclaimer notice.
10. Click OK.
11. Click Apply.
12. Click OK.
13. Click Close.
14. Click OK.
15. Click Finish.
16. Run the 5.12.012 Hot Fix 1 at \\jupiter\programs\B.A.S.I.S\.
17. Accept the terms of the agreement and click Install.
18. Click Finish.
19. Run Start->Programs->B.A.S.I.S. ET650->System Administration
20. Login with the username and password to the B.A.S.I.S system (available from Kevin Milby or Gary Bugg).
21. If no error windows appear B.A.S.I.S is setup properly.
