Installing the KeyServer client

Installation Instructions for the KeyServer Client on Windows Desktop Machines (i.e., NOT laptops)

Step 1: Go to the Programs directory on the Jupiter drive. Open the KeyServer folder. Open the Clients folder, and choose the Windows folder. Double-click the K2Client.exe icon to install the KeyServer client. Enter the KeyServer hostname: vulcan.centre.edu. Leave the “Store Settings” option set to the third option: “Registry shared by all users” and continue with the basic install, as default. Restart the computer

Step 2: After the computer has rebooted and you have logged into Windows, click on the Start menu and choose “Run.” In the box that appears, type keyacc32 and click OK. Click the Logon button (next to the hostname of the keyserver). Make sure that the hostname vulcan.centre.edu Click OK to prompt stating that the KeyServer will now reconnect at each startup. Close the KeyAccess Setup Window by clicking in the top-right x (not from the File menu)

Double-click the K2Mobile.exe icon to install the KeyServer client. Enter the KeyServer hostname: vulcan.centre.edu. Leave the “Store Settings” option set to the third option: “Registry shared by all users” and continue with the basic install, as default. Restart the computer
