Marking an Email as "Not Junk"
From ITS Wiki
Have you ever noticed that some messages that you want to see might be moved to the Junk E-mail folder instead of your inbox? This happened recently with a few staff members and their online paystub email. If you are expecting and email and don’t see it, always look for it in your Junk Email folder and periodically review the messages in your Junk E-mail folder to be sure that you are not missing any legitimate messages. If you find an email that is NOT junk you can mark the message as “not junk,” using these steps:
1. Click the Junk E-mail folder.
2. Right-click any message that you want to mark as not junk.
3. On the menu that drops down, move to Junk E-mail, and then click Mark as Not Junk in the menu that pops up.
4. Then, you should see an option that will allow you to check a box indicating you always want to trust email from this sender (so check it if you do).
To quickly mark a message as not junk by using the keyboard, select the message, and then press CTRL+ALT+J.
A message that is marked as “not junk” is moved either to your Inbox or to the folder in which it was previously located. Any message that is sent to the Junk E-mail folder is converted to plain text format, and any links that it contains are disabled. When you move the message out of the Junk E-mail folder, how it is handled depends on how it is categorized: If the message is categorized as spam but not as suspicious: When you move the message out of the Junk E-mail folder, its original message format is restored, and any links are enabled. If the message is categorized as suspicious: When you move the message out of the Junk E-mail folder, its original message format is restored, but any links remain disabled by default.
