Outlook Best Practices: Finding an Email in a Haystack

Have you ever known that a particular person sent you an email, you need to refer to it and you can’t find it!?

When you are searching for an email from someone in particular in one of the folders under your inbox, and really don’t want to look through every single one of them, a few of quick steps will help you narrow your search.

1. Click on the folder you want to search. You should see a search box open in the column to the right of your folder list (look near the top right under the name of the folder…you may have never noticed this box before).

2. If you want to find a message from a particular person type from: name (only insert the person’s name!)
