Unable To Launch Application Error 8.1

If you get the vague error "Unable to Launch Application" and the "reinstalling" by clicking the link on the wiki doesn't work, some of the unpacked files may have become corrupt, but won't trigger the "reinstall" to replace them.

Try going to the Java Control Panel under Windows Control Panel and click the "Settings" button on the "General" tab. Under Temporary File Settings, click Delete Files and allow the program to delete both Trace and Log Files AND Applications and Applets. Then return to the Installing CX 8.1 page and install the program fresh by clicking the link.

The program should now properly launch.
